True Anomaly is building autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors to secure the space domain for the U.S. and its allies. This is a founding hire for the social media function—a senior individual contributor role that owns how the company shows up across social platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels) in real time.
The role is hands-on: you will set social strategy, build and manage the content calendar, write in the company's voice, and ship content that establishes True Anomaly as a credible authority in space, defense, and national security conversations. The company has a clear brand strategy and narrative; what's missing is consistent, platform-specific execution and audience growth.
The ambition is significant. Peer companies in this domain have built social audiences that shape recruiting, press, policy, and category perception. True Anomaly intends to do the same, grounded in domain authority and operational credibility rather than provocation. You'll create content that could only come from a company that understands the space domain from the inside.
This starts as a senior IC role where you ship the work yourself. As the function proves out and grows, there is a clear path to owning and leading a team. You'll report directly into leadership and have direct influence on how the company is perceived by recruits, press, policymakers, and the broader space community.
Key responsibilities include: owning strategy and presence across all major platforms (each approached on its own terms, not cross-posted); building and running the social content calendar with intentional publishing rhythm and sequencing; writing original content in the company's voice; managing community engagement and conversation; measuring performance and iterating strategy; and collaborating with product, engineering, and communications teams to surface compelling stories and updates.
