Fuse is building fusion energy technology to accelerate the world's transition to clean energy. As Social Media Lead, you will own how Fuse communicates online and build the company's social presence from the ground up across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms.
You'll translate complex fusion engineering and technical work into compelling, accessible content for both technical audiences and the general public. Working directly with engineering teams, creative staff, recruiters, and leadership, you'll develop and execute Fuse's social media strategy, grow organic reach and engagement, and support major company announcements, product launches, and recruiting campaigns.
Key responsibilities include building and executing social strategy across multiple platforms, creating engaging content around technology and company milestones, optimizing for organic search visibility, and managing the day-to-day growth of Fuse's social channels. You'll need to move quickly with incomplete information, balance multiple priorities, and take ownership of outcomes—not just tasks.
Minimum qualifications: 3+ years in social media, digital marketing, content, or communications; demonstrated track record growing social channels and organic reach; strong writing and editing skills; hands-on platform management experience; working knowledge of SEO and organic search strategy; and a strong portfolio. You must be comfortable collaborating with engineers, executives, and creative teams.
Preferred: background translating complex science or engineering for broader audiences, technical SEO expertise, ability to create or direct video/photography/graphics, track record supporting major launches or announcements, and experience building social presence from early stage.
This is an in-office role requiring relocation to San Leandro, CA if not local. Extended hours and weekends may be required. Some business travel to other Fuse facilities possible. ITAR compliance required: must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
