Chainguard is seeking a highly motivated SMB Account Executive to drive sales in the Eastern US timezone. You will define and execute sales plans for your assigned territory, conveying Chainguard's value proposition in software supply-chain security and hardened open-source container images to mid-market prospects and customers.
In this role, you will forecast, meet, and exceed quota through a combination of inbound and outbound leads, managing your funnel through CRM and supporting tools. You'll collaborate with product, support, and sales engineering teams to improve all aspects of the sales cycle. The position requires understanding the competitive landscape and articulating how Chainguard's solutions help organizations build faster, stay compliant, and eliminate risk.
You'll work with a customer base that includes Fortune 500 enterprises and industry leaders like OpenAI, Snowflake, and Canva. Domain experience with compute platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), DevOps tooling, CI/CD platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins), and SDLC is strongly recommended.
The ideal candidate has 1+ years of SaaS or security sales experience, a strong track record of overachieving sales targets, and the ability to learn new products quickly. You should be competitive, driven, entrepreneurial, and willing to travel to support key client relationships. SaaS, developer tools, or startup sales experience is highly valued.
