Salary: USD 114,000 - 211,900 / annual

Mariana Oncology seeks an experienced Site Lead for Lab Operations to join the Operations team within G&A. This role carries accountability for overall lab operations strategy, execution, and operational compliance across Mariana sites. Key responsibilities include: - Manage Lab Operations Manager(s) and oversee operational execution at the 100 Forge Rd site and expansion sites - Establish continuity of operations between sites and drive alignment with Novartis sites where appropriate - Develop and maintain the Lab Operations budget - Lead lab vendor program strategy in consultation with Lab Managers and Research team members - Ensure smooth partnerships with Finance, IT, Procurement, Facilities, and HSE - Oversee lab CAPEX and space planning approvals - Serve as escalation point for Lab Operations issues and operational compliance questions - Evaluate and ensure implementation of appropriate procedures and protocols - Support the Head of Mariana Oncology Operations in overall Site Operations strategy - Ensure Lab Operations interfaces effectively with partner groups - Maintain accountability for operational compliance and alignment with Novartis procedures, including shipping compliance and biosample management - Participate in lab-facing projects such as Electronic Lab Notebook management and lab data management - Ensure efficient and appropriate communication with stakeholder groups including research teams and HSE Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant discipline with bench science experience, preferably in biotech or pharma - 8-10+ years of experience in operations within a lab setting - Extraordinary communication skills, both oral and written, across all audiences - Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills - Expert leader, facilitator, and organizer in emergency situations - Ability to remain calm under pressure, thoughtful when challenged, empathetic, consistent, and caring - Ability to work independently and drive projects forward - Problem-solving skills in creative and effective ways - Ability to interface with diverse stakeholders (researchers, management, etc.) to reach consensus - Strong judgment and prioritization skills - High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
