Lumilens is seeking a Silicon Test Engineer to develop and execute comprehensive test solutions for silicon photonics and semiconductor products. This hands-on role spans characterization, wafer sort, and final test phases, with accountability for robust test coverage, high product quality, and efficient manufacturing at scale.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing silicon test solutions using ATE platforms such as Advantest 93K and Teradyne, translating design and DFT requirements into production-ready test programs, and supporting new product introduction (NPI) through high-volume manufacturing transitions. You will optimize test flows to improve coverage, reduce test time, and lower cost of test, while analyzing yield and test data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Debugging test failures, identifying root causes across product, test, and process domains, and strengthening screening coverage to ensure only high-quality devices reach customers are core activities.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential: you will partner closely with design, product, and process engineering teams to ensure testability is built in early, support test plan reviews, and work with operations teams on production ramp readiness. You will also contribute to developing high-speed test hardware and interfaces for photonics devices, ensuring test solutions meet performance requirements for high-speed and mixed-signal applications, and support improvements in test methodologies as product complexity increases.
The ideal candidate brings 8–12+ years of semiconductor or silicon photonics test engineering experience, strong proficiency with ATE platforms, background in silicon validation, production test, DFT/DFM, and high-speed or mixed-signal testing. You should have demonstrated experience optimizing test time, coverage, yield, and cost in manufacturing environments, proficiency in scripting/programming (C/C++, Python, or similar) and Linux-based environments, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges. Comfort working cross-functionally in fast-paced, evolving environments is essential.
