Coursera (now merged with Udemy) is seeking an experienced SEO Content Manager to drive performance and innovation across their strategic content portfolio. This role combines content strategy, hands-on content creation, and data-driven decision-making to grow organic traffic and engagement.
You will manage the Strategic Content portfolio to defend and grow traffic while analyzing performance using multiple data sources and visualization tools. Your responsibilities include translating data insights into actionable content strategies, executing new content initiatives based on evolving search landscapes and emerging AEO/GEO opportunities, and creating high-quality, SEO-optimized content in various formats that align with company goals and engage target audiences.
You'll work alongside other content managers, editors, and the core SEO team, collaborating with organic acquisition channels including social media and YouTube. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker who excels at identifying optimization opportunities and content gaps through competitive research and strategic thinking, while applying storytelling expertise and deep customer empathy.
Required: 5+ years of SEO content management experience in mid- to large-scale consumer-facing businesses, demonstrated experience with large-scale content portfolios and SEO optimization projects, proven ability to develop and optimize content for AEO/GEO, strong analytical skills to translate data into strategic decisions, and demonstrated writing and editorial expertise with deep understanding of SEO principles.
Preferred: Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword optimization, and content performance metrics; familiarity with content management systems and editorial workflows; experience with video content optimization.
