Roblox is building the next generation of immersive digital experiences, and the Foundation AI group is enabling creators to leverage generative AI at scale. The company has shipped a 3D foundation model and is now building the Roblox Video Model—a world model that pairs the structured simulation of the Roblox Game Engine with photorealistic video generation. This hybrid architecture enables persistent, multiplayer, photorealistic worlds that creators can build and players can join. As Senior/Principal Product Manager for Video Generation, you will own the strategy and vision for bringing this technology from the lab into the hands of millions of creators and players. You will drive the product lifecycle from early creator access through scaled platform capability, running on cloud edge GPU infrastructure. Key responsibilities include: - Building vision and strategy for real-time video generation that drives industry-defining innovation in world models - Owning the launch to the creator community—from lab demo to creator early access to scaled platform capability—while earning trust through transparent, open shipping - Defining the creator control surface: how creators condition, direct, and constrain the model so game rules, art direction, and systems are never overridden - Deeply understanding model capabilities creators need (temporal coherence, multiplayer consistency, avatar fidelity, prompt and style adherence) and shaping the research roadmap - Developing comprehensive evaluation combining automated metrics with creator and player feedback; owning quality, latency, and cost curves - Cross-functional collaboration with engine, rendering, creator, safety, and economy teams to ensure generated pixels are safe, age-appropriate, and core to gameplay - Managing the full product lifecycle, prioritizing based on creator usage and analysis, communicating insights to non-technical audiences while engaging with world-class AI researchers Requirements: - Proven track record solving hard problems - Demonstrated experience building, shipping, or supporting generative media products (video, image, or world models) or real-time rendering and graphics technology at scale - Experience productizing research: converting model capabilities into product and product signals back into research priorities, with fluency in quality/latency/inference cost/compute tradeoffs - Deep understanding of product lifecycle and history collaborating with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver complex technical products on time - Experience shipping to large consumer or creator communities, ideally in gaming, UGC platforms, or creative tools - Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Graphics, 3D Animation, Games Production, or similar technical field - User-centric product mindset with inclusive and strategic thinking; comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments; high degree of independent drive
