Celonis is the global leader in Process Intelligence and Process Mining technology. As a Senior Value Engineer specializing in Public Sector, you will work with state and local government agencies to solve critical operational challenges using Celonis' Process Intelligence platform combined with advanced AI and ML technologies from partners like Microsoft, OpenAI, and Databricks.
You will own the full customer lifecycle for strategic public sector clients, from initial discovery through implementation and value realization. Your responsibilities include:
• AI Discovery & Solutioning: Understand agency AI strategies and specific challenges (benefits administration backlogs, procurement bottlenecks, public safety resource allocation, permitting delays). Translate requirements into innovative solutions that deliver measurable public impact.
• Pre- and Post-Sales Execution: Lead technical discovery and capability demonstrations during government procurement cycles (RFPs). Remain deeply involved post-sale to guide implementation and ensure adoption thresholds are met.
• Hackathons & Prototyping: Build creative prototypes in agency hackathons using cutting-edge AI to solve critical pain points and improve constituent experiences.
• Agentic Process Transformation: Enable government customers to achieve real value from AI deployments at scale, shifting from paper-heavy workflows to autonomous AI agents powered by Celonis Process Intelligence.
• Proof-of-Value Projects: Execute end-to-end PoV projects, architecting and delivering secure, scalable LLM/agent systems with RAG, tools, and guardrails while integrating with government enterprise data, identity protocols, and compliance frameworks (StateRAMP, HIPAA, CJIS).
• Domain Leadership: Serve as internal and external technical subject matter expert for the State & Local Government vertical, scaling knowledge across the organization.
Required: 5+ years leading technical pre-sales and post-sales engagements in Public Sector (State & Local Government), including government procurement cycles, ROI business cases, and implementation guidance. Deep understanding of state and local government business processes (Health & Human Services, benefits, permitting, public safety, etc.). Strong technical foundation in process mining, data integration, or enterprise software architecture. Ability to navigate complex government environments, compliance requirements, and stakeholder dynamics.
