Okta is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join its globally distributed Design & Research team in Bengaluru, India. You will lead end-to-end research initiatives for the Access Management ecosystem, translating complex product questions into actionable insights that influence strategy and product decisions across Engineering, Product, and Design teams.
In this role, you will own UX research strategy for Access Management in India while acting as a foundational builder for regional research operations. Key responsibilities include scoping and executing generative and evaluative research across multiple OS platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android); building and managing a dedicated user panel of critical personas; championing AI-driven efficiency by automating transcript synthesis, feedback classification, and qualitative coding; empowering cross-functional partners through training frameworks and mentorship; applying mixed methodologies including contextual inquiry, usability testing, surveys, and quantitative analysis; and collaborating with global EPD teams to synthesize complex data into compelling stories for executive stakeholders.
You will work within an AI-first team supported by leadership that fosters high autonomy, deep ownership, and strong craft culture. The role requires balancing foundational research with generative explorations in a complex, evolving security and identity problem space.
Required qualifications include demonstrated expertise conducting user research in complex B2B, enterprise, security, or developer-facing domains; ability to independently translate business goals and technical ambiguity into structured research plans; active experience incorporating AI tools into research workflows; proven success in globally distributed teams with strong asynchronous communication skills; and systems thinking that connects user insights to business metrics and technical feasibility.
