Ello is seeking a Lead Graphic Designer to drive end-to-end design across product, brand, and user experience for a children's education application. You will own the full design lifecycle—from product research, user testing, and playtesting through prototyping, iteration, and developer handoff—to create engaging, educational, and conversion-focused experiences. Key responsibilities include conducting brand and user research to define personas and inform design decisions, developing and maintaining a cohesive brand identity and design system through market research and testing, and ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. You'll design and optimize web interfaces and onboarding flows using UI/UX principles to enhance usability and conversion, working closely with marketing and development teams. The role also involves creating and animating brand characters and UI assets to drive user engagement, while supporting marketing initiatives through landing pages, printed materials, and cross-functional design guidance. You'll collaborate with literacy experts and engineers to continuously expand product features and maintain brand consistency. This is a hands-on design leadership role where you'll shape the visual and experiential identity of an edtech product serving children. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field plus 2 years of professional design experience (or 4 years without degree). Must have 2+ years with web design, brand research/identity, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Acrobat), and Figma/LottieFiles. Also need 1+ year with product design (user research, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, user flows), UI/UX design (prototyping, user flows, asset preparation), and illustration/animation work.
