Scopely is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join the Star Trek Fleet Command team in Dublin on a hybrid basis. Star Trek Fleet Command is a top-grossing 4X Strategy MMO launched in 2018 that continues to evolve and engage millions of players globally. In this role, you will own and deliver complete UX for new features and player experiences, turning strategic ideas into fully developed designs that meet product experience targets. You'll help shape the future of UX design on the game through both new features and by establishing design principles, practices, and standards. Key responsibilities include: - Owning end-to-end UX delivery for new features and player experiences - Building deep knowledge of the game to authentically step into the player's perspective and ground design decisions in real player insights - Researching relevant references and competitive designs to uncover inspiration and avoid common pitfalls - Producing a range of design deliverables including sketches, wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes - Identifying design weaknesses and gaps through critical thinking and sharp design judgment - Collaborating closely with product teams, game designers, and artists throughout development - Leveraging feedback, data, and insights to refine designs intentionally - Supporting long-term product and UX consistency through design principles and patterns You should have extensive experience specializing in game UX development with a proven track record of delivering features from concept through implementation. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying blockers, and taking initiative. You bring a solutions-oriented mindset with thoughtful, creative problem-solving. You understand game development norms, pipelines, and how to design within technical constraints and cross-discipline workflows. Above all, you're driven by genuine passion for playing and making games, with a player-centered design philosophy and a fit for a culture built on curiosity, improvement, creativity, and collaboration.
