Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The company is seeking an experienced Manager of Product Experience Design to lead a team of 8 full-stack PX professionals in the Chicago office, working alongside team members in Amsterdam.
In this role, you will define and execute the product experience strategy across four core domains: Lifecycle Experience (customer-facing onboarding and compliance workflows), Lifecycle Enablement & Orchestration (bridging internal operational engines with external experiences), Developer Experience (AI-powered platform tools for external developers), and Platform Engineering (internal UI frameworks and tools for Adyen's engineering teams).
Your primary focus will be accelerating the merchant journey from contract signature to first transaction—what Adyen calls "Setting Up Business." Key responsibilities include building and growing a high-performing team of full-stack PX professionals, partnering with Group Product Managers, Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Senior Leadership on strategic initiatives, maintaining quality standards, and empowering team members to succeed and grow. You'll work cross-functionally with product, development, commercial, and operations teams.
You bring 5+ years of people leadership experience in product design or UX, with a strategic mindset and deep UX craft combined with business acumen. You're a champion for the customer, balancing user needs with company goals. You're adaptive, growth-minded, and comfortable working across all organizational levels and functions. You drive a culture of urgency and action, ensuring the team moves fast to test, learn, and improve.
