Fanatics Markets is a prediction market platform enabling users to trade contracts across sports, finance, economics, culture, and crypto. The company is scaling its trading desk to provide liquidity, manage risk, and ensure tight, fair markets across its contract slate.
As Senior Trader, Market Making, you will be a hands-on market maker responsible for making markets and managing risk across sports and financial prediction contracts. You will design and develop quantitative models to generate real-time fair values for event-driven outcomes, then partner with quants, product, and engineering teams to productionize these models for live trading. Your responsibilities include monitoring and validating production models, continuously improving predictive accuracy and trading outcomes while ensuring robustness and operational stability.
You will identify and execute market-take opportunities arising from model insights and prediction-market dynamics, design and implement trading strategies to maximize volume and revenue while scaling automated decision-making, and manage forecasting along with P&L reporting. Risk management is critical: you will monitor exposure limits, escalate risk issues, and manage a live book under time pressure with sound risk discipline.
You will also partner with product, quant, engineering, and compliance teams to launch new markets and contract types, and help mentor junior traders while shaping trading desk processes as the team grows.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical or quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, economics), and 5+ years of professional trading experience in market making, options/derivatives, prop trading, or sports betting trading. You must have experience with prediction or financial markets, understanding market structure, pricing mechanics, and liquidity dynamics. Familiarity with CFTC-regulated markets, exchanges, or clearing houses is preferred. Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration with traders, product, and engineering teams are essential.
