Halter is transforming livestock grazing through autonomous technology that enables farmers to manage cattle without traditional fencing, quad bikes, or herding dogs. This Senior Test Engineer role owns the technical direction and standards for production test systems across Halter's hardware products, scaling globally while building team capability.
You will own the production test strategy across all products and manufacturing sites, defining coverage philosophy, fixture architecture, calibration approaches, and validation evidence requirements. You'll lead the architecture and delivery of production test systems that scale globally, ensuring test stations, fixtures, instrumentation, software interfaces, and data flows are reliable and repeatable across operations.
Key responsibilities include setting standards for fixture architecture, instrumentation strategy, validation evidence, and interface design; driving cross-functional execution for new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change notices (ECNs) with clear go/no-go decision-making; and creating leverage through mentoring and technical leadership of production test engineers and technicians while staying involved in critical technical decisions.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Production Process, Machine Design, Product Design, Firmware, Production Software, and Quality to align on complex technical programs and readiness decisions. The role requires deep knowledge of test systems, fixture architecture, calibration, data pipelines, and factory operations—understanding how test coverage, yield data, traceability, and validation evidence inform production decisions.
Halter is backed by Tier 1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, DCVC, and others.
