Litmus Automation is building the data foundation for industrial AI, enabling manufacturers to access, structure, and use real-time operational data from machines and sensors at the edge. The company's platform powers software-defined manufacturing for global enterprises including Google, Microsoft, Dell, Oracle, and Mitsubishi.
As Senior Technical Writer, you will own end-to-end technical documentation for Litmus's industrial edge platform. This is a hands-on role where you'll manage documentation across multiple concurrent product releases, working closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Support teams.
Key responsibilities include: using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) as your default approach to drafting, structuring, and maintaining documentation; planning and producing video content including feature walkthroughs, release demos, and how-to guides; getting hands-on with the product to test features and validate documentation accuracy; translating complex industrial and technical concepts into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences (OT engineers, plant managers, system integrators, enterprise architects); maintaining documentation style guides and standards; building reusable content templates and AI-assisted workflows to scale output; and managing documentation release schedules independently across multiple in-flight projects.
You'll need 5+ years of technical writing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, industrial, or enterprise software. Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools as a core workflow component (not occasional use) is essential. You must have proven ability to manage documentation across multiple simultaneous releases with version control accuracy, experience creating video content (scripting, recording, basic editing with tools like Loom or Camtasia), and a strong track record collaborating cross-functionally. You should be comfortable getting hands-on with technical products, have excellent written English with a clear and accessible technical style, and be familiar with documentation tooling (Markdown, static site generators, headless CMS, Git workflows). Must be based in Canada and legally eligible to work there.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience in industrial automation, IIoT, or edge computing; experience building or customizing AI-assisted documentation workflows; and familiarity with API documentation and developer-facing content.
