Podium Automation is reimagining industrial control panel manufacturing through software-enabled design and automated fabrication, having raised over $23M from top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Construct Capital. The company is building technology to reduce lead times for critical electrical equipment from months to days, creating a new industrial supply chain. You will be Podium's first dedicated Senior Technical Recruiter & People Partner, owning both talent acquisition and employee experience from offer through onboarding and beyond. This is a foundational role at a hardware startup where you'll shape people operations from the ground up. In the recruiting function, you'll own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, production, and business operations. You'll partner with founders and hiring managers to scope roles, build hiring plans, and design interview loops that predict performance. You'll source proactively for technical talent in software, hardware, controls, manufacturing, and operations—recognizing that the best candidates often aren't on job boards. You'll establish recruiting infrastructure including ATS hygiene, scorecards, structured interviews, referral programs, and reporting. As people partner, you'll own onboarding end-to-end, ensuring every new hire has a seamless first day and clear path to contribution. You'll manage employee setup logistics: equipment, accounts, payroll, benefits enrollment, and I-9s. You'll design and run people programs that strengthen the team—onboarding journeys, recognition, team rituals, feedback cycles, and culture-building moments. You'll partner with leadership on policies, handbook, compliance, and HR operations as the company scales, and help shape employer brand and candidate marketing in the hardware and tech talent communities. You bring 4+ years of experience spanning technical recruiting and people operations, ideally in-house at a high-growth startup. You have a full-cycle recruiting track record across diverse technical functions including hardware, electrical, mechanical, controls, or manufacturing talent. You're hands-on with onboarding, employee setup, HRIS/payroll tools, and the operational backbone of people functions. You communicate excellently in writing and verbally, credibly representing a technical company to technical candidates and serving as a steady point of contact for employees. You operate with high ownership, low ego, and a fast metabolism for work, comfortable with ambiguity and minimal process. You're genuinely curious about how things get made, though an engineering background isn't required.
