As an HR Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization, driving manager effectiveness, performance outcomes, and team health. This is a high-autonomy role requiring strong judgment and deep understanding of how people practices translate to business results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a trusted advisor to managers on performance management, feedback, and team effectiveness
- Leading and executing performance review cycles, calibration sessions, and talent discussions
- Coaching leaders through complex employee situations, including performance improvement plans and terminations
- Managing employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation in partnership with leadership and legal/PEO resources
- Identifying patterns and systemic issues, then proactively recommending scalable solutions
- Partnering with the Head of People and People Ops to ensure consistent practices across the organization
- Helping define and reinforce leadership and people management expectations at Range
You'll work directly with leaders navigating growth, performance challenges, and organizational change. The role requires 7+ years of HRBP experience in fast-growing startups, ideally in SaaS or tech. You should have strong coaching and influencing skills across all levels, comfort navigating ambiguity, excellent communication abilities, and a pragmatic, business-minded approach with bias toward action and ownership.
Range operates in-office Monday through Friday at their McLean, VA headquarters, fostering direct collaboration with your team.
