Adyen is a global financial technology platform serving enterprises like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The Internal Developer Platform (IDP) cluster is transforming Adyen's software development lifecycle by creating standardized, scalable, and delightful experiences that empower engineers to deliver value more efficiently.
As Senior Product Manager for the IDP, you will own a key stream of platform evolution, transitioning the engineering organization from fragmented, tribal-knowledge-based workflows to a cohesive, automated ecosystem. Your mission is to reduce cognitive load, minimize manual toil, and ensure the platform scales with Adyen's global engineering footprint.
Key responsibilities include:
• Optimize the SDLC by driving initiatives to reduce CI flakiness, improve build insights, and shift teams from centralized manual processes to systemic, automated "golden paths."
• Drive product maturity by assessing toolset maturity, executing deprecations, and ensuring core products have clear adoption paths and value propositions.
• Build technical context by partnering with IDP engineering to bridge generic AI models with Adyen's complex architecture, prioritizing AGENTS.md standards, internal RAG pipelines, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for tools like GitLab and Jira.
• Foster developer autonomy by building "LEGO-block" style abstractions that allow teams to own their pipelines and release cycles while maintaining secure, compliant guardrails.
• Validate ROI and manage vendors by implementing data-driven feedback loops to track adoption and measure SDLC improvements against metrics like DXI, Change Failure Rate, and developer velocity.
You bring 10+ years of product experience, ideally in Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, or AI-enabled technical products. You are technically credible, capable of sparring with engineers about system architecture and CI/CD constraints. You excel at change management, influencing developer habits in opinionated technical environments. You are data-driven, translating subjective feedback and system data into clear impact metrics. You thrive in ambiguity, executing quickly without perfect information and adapting to new data.
