Okta is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) to serve as a trusted technical advisor for large enterprise customers in the Strategic segment. This role focuses exclusively on Workforce Identity solutions, supporting key industries including Public Sector, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, and Technology.
You will manage a portfolio of large enterprise organizations, deepening your understanding of each customer's unique ecosystem to address present challenges and anticipate future needs. As a Senior TAM, you'll serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer identity owners and technical leadership, earning trusted advisor status through masterful application of comprehensive technical expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building deep, long-lasting relationships with customers and becoming their go-to technical advisor for identity strategy and implementation
- Designing sophisticated identity solutions aligned with customer business objectives, leveraging tailored technical plans for portfolios of increasing size and complexity
- Demonstrating advanced problem-solving skills to handle complex, multi-faceted technical challenges, often independently managing escalations
- Proactively identifying risks and creating mitigation plans with clear ownership and resolution timelines
- Expanding customer adoption of the Okta footprint through additional use cases and increased security posture
- Securing the Okta footprint against competitive displacement by leveraging product differentiators
- Collaborating with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Customer Success) to drive customer outcomes and influence product strategy
You will support Okta's comprehensive Workforce Identity platform, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Identity Threat Detection & Response (ITDR).
The role requires some travel, including in-person onboarding and travel to the San Francisco HQ during the first week of employment. You must be based within 50 miles of the Bellevue, WA office and work in the Pacific time zone.
