StubHub is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to support the company's rapid growth across all aspects of the global tax function. Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will play a key role in building out a world-class tax operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support income tax compliance processes, including preparation of tax workpapers and calculations for U.S. federal, state, local, and international tax returns prepared by external advisors
- Prepare federal and state estimated tax and extension payment calculations with timely, accurate submissions to tax authorities
- Support month and quarter-end close processes, including tax account reconciliations and roll forwards
- Support quarterly and annual global income tax provisions and financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740
- Maintain and improve tax-related processes and internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements
- Maintain and monitor tax calendar to ensure timely filing of all income tax, gross receipts tax, and other filings
- Support tax audits, including preparation of responses to inquiries from tax authorities
- Handle and analyze tax notices from taxing authorities to determine required actions and deadlines
- Establish strong working relationships with tax, accounting, finance, and cross-functional business partners
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance on tax impacts of business decisions
- Assist in special projects and perform additional duties as required
You bring 3+ years of related tax experience, including time at a Big 4 public accounting firm. You hold a Bachelor's degree and CPA (or are actively pursuing). You have a strong foundation in income tax compliance and provision experience, strong knowledge of corporate taxation, and ideally exposure to international tax issues. Experience with tax compliance and provision software is a plus. You are detail-oriented, able to multitask, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and demonstrate strong communication, organization, and project management skills. You work well independently and across functions, embrace new technology, and actively seek opportunities to automate processes and gain efficiencies.
