Cohesity is seeking a Senior Strategic Account Executive to own a defined territory and drive net-new logo acquisition and account expansion in the cybersecurity and data management space. This is an individual contributor role for a proven enterprise seller who thrives in complex, competitive environments and can navigate multi-stakeholder buying groups.
You will be responsible for building and executing a robust pipeline of complex transactions from prospecting through close, with a focus on penetrating large organizations and engaging C-level and VP-level decision makers. Your role involves developing compelling business cases that connect Cohesity's AI-powered data security platform to customer outcomes across security, resilience, compliance, and cost optimization.
Key responsibilities include owning a defined territory with an annual quota balanced between new logo acquisition and account expansion, managing complex sales cycles with structured, value-based approaches, and partnering closely with sales engineers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to execute coordinated account strategies. You will maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in Salesforce while leveraging AI and productivity tools to streamline workflows and support data-driven decision making.
Ideal candidates bring demonstrated experience selling into Information Security and Cybersecurity teams with strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards. You should have extensive success in quota-carrying, customer-facing sales roles selling complex technology solutions, with knowledge of data security architectures, ransomware resilience, and the competitive landscape. Experience with Cohesity solutions (DataProtect, DataHawk, SmartFiles) and related backup/recovery platforms (NetBackup, Backup Exec, InfoScale) is strongly preferred.
Required qualifications include a strong track record of negotiating and closing high-value contracts, executive-level communication and presentation skills, experience working with channel partners and cross-functional deal teams, willingness to travel within the assigned territory, a bachelor's degree in Business or related field (or equivalent experience), and professional English language proficiency.
Cohesity employees within reasonable commute distance work out of core offices 2-3 days per week of their choosing. The role offers comprehensive benefits including health and wellness coverage, vacation, paid holidays, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance, and potential equity grants.
