Rippling is building the future of global payroll and seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead the transformation of its payroll engineering systems. The company provides an integrated platform for HR, IT, and Finance, enabling businesses to manage the entire employee lifecycle—from onboarding to payroll, benefits, and IT provisioning—in a single system.
In this high-impact role, you will be at the center of reimagining Rippling's global payroll infrastructure, leveraging AI-native solutions and modern engineering practices to unify and scale payroll operations across multiple countries. You'll influence the architecture and design of one of Rippling's core product pillars, leading initiatives that span the entire development lifecycle—from defining new product functionality to rearchitecting critical systems for scale, accuracy, and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving long-term strategic goals such as filings automation, global data unification, and enterprise-scale capabilities
- Optimizing for complex, multi-country edge cases and regulatory requirements
- Introducing AI/ML-based solutions to implement intelligent agentic workflows
- Mentoring engineers and serving as a thought partner to product leadership
- Shaping the technical strategy for one of Rippling's largest and fastest-growing markets
