Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for merchants like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you will be the technical heartbeat of our most strategic merchant relationships in the KSA region, serving as a payment performance consultant, incident commander, and trusted partner.
You will own the technical success of enterprise merchants by becoming an expert on their business and payment data. Your responsibilities include identifying opportunities to boost authorization rates, increase revenue, and drive adoption of new Checkout.com products. You'll serve as the primary technical authority for your merchants' API integrations and infrastructure, leading critical incident response with decisive coordination across internal teams.
Key responsibilities include strategic growth initiatives through deep payment data analysis, technical ownership of merchant integrations and infrastructure, and merchant advocacy by translating their needs into product roadmap insights. You will project-manage complex technical initiatives from migrations to product launches, deliver expert training and workshops, and act as a strategic advisor during business reviews, translating technical performance into compelling commercial narratives.
Required qualifications include 4+ years in senior client-facing technical roles (TAM, Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering) preferably in SaaS or API-first companies. You need a degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience, hands-on expertise with RESTful APIs, and exceptional communication skills for both C-level executives and engineering teams.
Standout candidates will have solid understanding of end-to-end payment lifecycle, deep knowledge of payment concepts (SCA, Tokenization, MIT/CIT, AFT/OCT, authorization rate optimization), direct experience with MENA payments ecosystem including local methods (Mada, NPG, KNET, Fawry, Benefit), and Arabic fluency is advantageous.
