Zscaler is seeking a Senior Specialist Sales Engineer to join its Zero Trust Cloud team in Australia (Sydney or Melbourne). This hybrid role reports to the Specialist Solution Director and serves as the primary technical lead and strategic advisor for the ANZ region.
You will guide customers across Australia and New Zealand in securing workloads and traffic across hybrid and multi-cloud environments using Zscaler's Zero Trust Architecture. Your responsibilities include:
• Serve as the technical expert for Zero Trust Architecture in cloud environments, with focus on AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Lead strategic conversations about Zero Trust Security trends, strategies, and deployment with customers at all organizational levels
• Run customer Proof-of-Value engagements in collaboration with Sales Engineers, demonstrating Zscaler's unique value proposition
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to provide technical insights that influence the product roadmap
• Provide competitive positioning and insights to position Zscaler as the best alternative
• Drive internal and customer-facing enablement for Zero Trust Cloud use cases to accelerate regional go-to-market strategy
• Act as a critical link between field teams and Product Management
You bring 5+ years of experience in technical sales, systems engineering, or enterprise security architecture. You have hands-on expertise in security, networking, and applications with practical experience on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent certifications/experience) is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience architecting security frameworks for AI/ML workloads and LLM data pipelines in public cloud, familiarity with Zscaler's ZIA and ZPA solutions or similar enterprise-grade SSE/SASE/Cloud Security platforms, and foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies.
