Zscaler is seeking a Senior Specialist Sales Engineer for Data Security to serve enterprise customers across the western United States. This role reports directly to the Director of Specialist Sales Engineers for Data Security and sits at the intersection of technical expertise and sales execution.
You will partner closely with sales teams to shape and win strategic opportunities by translating complex customer requirements into compelling technical solutions. Your responsibilities include creating and delivering technical product presentations to prospective customers, gathering detailed technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions align with customer goals and needs, leading hands-on product evaluations and custom configurations, and designing evaluation test plans with customers to guide them toward successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings a BSCS degree or equivalent with extensive experience as a solutions engineer or systems integrator. You'll need 5+ years of pre-sales experience, including at least 3 years selling security and networking solutions in direct or high-touch enterprise environments. Deep knowledge of data protection and web-related technologies is essential, as is experience working in matrix roles across broader go-to-market teams.
