Zscaler is seeking a Senior Specialist Sales Engineer for Data Security to join the UK-based team, reporting to the Director of Specialist Sales Engineering. This is a remote role focused on driving technical sales processes and shaping data security outcomes across the region.
In this position, you will serve as a key technical authority for enterprise customers, providing strategic advice and demonstrating the power of Zscaler's cloud transformation platform. Your responsibilities include taking total ownership of technical sales execution, independently delivering compelling sales pitches and technical presentations, and conducting interactive whiteboard sessions with enterprise prospects.
You should have a foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging or positioning AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate brings a BSCS degree or equivalent experience as a Systems Engineer or Systems Integrator, with 3+ years in Pre-Sales roles and at least 3 years selling security or networking solutions in direct or high-touch environments.
Key qualifications include proven experience with Data Protection, DSPM (Data Security Posture Management), web-related technologies, and value-based selling within a matrixed go-to-market environment. Preferred experience includes hands-on positioning of AI-driven data classification, automated DLP, DSPM, or AI security governance controls; direct experience with Zscaler or competitive data protection solutions; and deep understanding of SaaS technologies, regional regulatory compliance, and partner ecosystems.
