As Senior Specialist, Employee Relations, you will manage the complete employee lifecycle for Remote's external workforce, with primary focus on offboarding and employee relations support. You'll serve as a critical extension of clients' HR teams, navigating complex international employment regulations while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
**Offboarding & Exits**: Manage end-to-end employee separations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring legal compliance and superior client experience. Lead termination meetings, facilitate workforce reduction consultations, and negotiate complex separation outcomes. Draft and administer all termination documentation with strict attention to detail and privacy compliance.
**Employee Relations**: Provide first-level ER support to clients, conducting preliminary assessments of workplace concerns, identifying applicable local regulations, and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders. Guide clients through progressive discipline, documentation requirements, and ER policies. Monitor ongoing cases and ensure timely follow-up.
**Stakeholder Coordination**: Liaise with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and internal teams (Customer Success, Benefits, Time & Attendance) to ensure compliant and prompt administration of all exit processes. Serve as subject-matter expert on offboarding matters.
**Process Improvement**: Actively identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and product development to enhance customer and employee experience. Contribute to strategic initiatives aligned with Remote's values.
You'll work with Remote's HRIS platform and collaborate across multiple verticals to ensure every aspect of employee transitions is handled correctly and compliantly.
