LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise prospects and customers in the US West region. This pre-sales role is central to the enterprise sales strategy, requiring deep technical expertise across multiple verticals and a customer-centric approach. Key responsibilities include driving technical discovery and architecture design during the pre-sales lifecycle, partnering with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to develop compelling technical value propositions, and delivering high-impact demonstrations and workshops tailored to C-level and technical stakeholders. You will cultivate trust with customers, identify technical champions, and position yourself as a strategic advisor. The role involves liaising between customers and internal Product and Engineering teams to relay feedback and influence the product roadmap. Additionally, you will lead cross-regional technical initiatives, enhance SE tools and processes for global scalability, mentor junior team members, and maintain expert-level knowledge of LaunchDarkly's platform, integrations, and industry trends. Responsibilities include responding to RFPs, managing technical environments for enterprise sales motions, translating complex client requirements into scalable solutions, and representing LaunchDarkly at industry events. Required qualifications include 8+ years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture roles with customer-facing experience. You should have expertise in SDLC, cloud architecture, or DevOps, with extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Demonstrated excellence in leading proof-of-concept initiatives and building technical champions is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) is required. Experience with security and compliance frameworks (PII, PCI, HIPAA) is a bonus. The role requires 50% travel.
