Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for Observe, its AI-powered observability platform built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. This is a critical, highly-visible role serving as the primary technical resource for the Sales team, responsible for driving technical closure of sales opportunities and demonstrating the value of Observe to prospective customers.
Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth technical discovery sessions with prospects to understand their observability requirements and environment; designing, scoping, and managing Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate value within customer environments; partnering closely with Account Executives to develop and execute technical sales strategies; serving as the technical subject matter expert throughout the sales cycle; providing crucial feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams on product capabilities and market needs; developing and maintaining technical sales collateral including demo environments and presentations; delivering technical training to the Sales organization; and traveling to client sites and industry events as needed.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience); 5+ years as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect in software; deep technical understanding of modern observability concepts (metrics, logging, tracing) and tools (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK Stack); familiarity with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); and strong verbal and written communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred experience includes selling to Developer, DevOps, and SRE personas, and prior experience in fast-paced, high-growth Observability or APM companies. Snowflake emphasizes AI-native thinking, low-ego collaboration, and an experimental mindset focused on reinventing how work gets done.
