Docker is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to support strategic mid-enterprise accounts. This is a pre-sales technical seller role focused on complex, competitive sales cycles. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, partnering with Account Executives, Post Sales, and Product teams to drive business and technical value.
Key responsibilities include leading deep technical discovery across Platform Engineering, DevOps, Security, and AI/ML teams to understand AI governance requirements, software supply chain risk posture, regulatory drivers (NIST AI Risk Management Framework, EU AI Act), and secure development lifecycle needs. You will shape technical requirements early in sales cycles, design and execute structured PoCs/PoVs focused on policy enforcement, image integrity, SBOM visibility, AI workload governance, and secure build pipelines. You'll develop custom code and integrations for customer environments, define success criteria, and influence decision-making through demos, workshops, and technical executive briefings.
You will establish credibility as a thought leader on responsible AI development, secure AI model lifecycle management, software supply chain integrity, container security, and DevSecOps practices. Build and expand relationships with technical champions across Security, DevOps, Platform, and AI teams, leveraging these connections to influence broader buying groups and uncover expansion opportunities.
Required qualifications include proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solution Architect in complex enterprise sales, strong experience running competitive PoCs/PoVs with defined success criteria, ability to engage credibly with senior technical and business stakeholders, and solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers, DevOps, and modern application architectures. Experience with Docker, container ecosystems, development, Agentic AI, or software supply chain is strongly preferred. Must be fluent in English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 25%.
