Salary: USD 150,000 - 175,000 / annual
SingleStore is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to partner with sales teams and channel partners in identifying and solving complex data challenges. You will work directly with prospective and current customers to understand their pain points and demonstrate how SingleStore's real-time data platform can deliver solutions. Your responsibilities include designing and deploying proofs of concept, leading technical evaluations during the sales cycle, conducting value-based demonstrations to executive audiences, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to translate customer feedback into product improvements.
You will be the technical subject matter expert during customer engagements, handling query tuning, load testing, and architecture validation. The role requires comfort operating at multiple levels—from C-suite conversations to deep technical implementation discussions. You'll work with a dynamic team of engineers and innovators focused on transforming how businesses leverage real-time data and simplified data architecture.
Required qualifications include a minimum of 7 years in technical pre-sales roles, strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences. You must have broad experience with large-scale database and data warehousing technologies, proficiency in ANSI SQL, and hands-on experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Flink, or Airflow. Programming experience in Python, Scala, or Java is required, along with familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware). The ideal candidate is a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for real-time data solutions.
