Hydrolix is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its EMEA team, supporting pre- and post-sales activities across the region. You will work directly with customers and prospects to help them leverage Hydrolix's cloud data platform for petabyte-scale datasets, reducing data costs while increasing retention.
In this role, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating with customers to understand their business objectives and data management challenges. Your responsibilities include technical solutions architecture for both pre- and post-sales engagements, with emphasis on presales. You'll provide technical guidance on utilizing Hydrolix across various cloud environments, help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and deliver expert guidance on dashboarding, API interfaces, data ingestion, transformation, and performance optimization.
You'll also contribute to developing product documentation, customer feedback, technical guides, training materials, and blogs to support customer onboarding, and conduct proofs of concept as needed.
Required qualifications include a minimum of five years of professional experience in technical consulting, solutions architecture, or technical presales. You must be multilingual in English and another European language. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Technical requirements include experience with database management systems, data platforms, and SQL proficiency; hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); and a solid understanding of the observability landscape.
Bonus qualifications include cloud platform certifications, experience selling to security use cases or managed service providers, hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Spark, Databricks, Splunk, or Grafana, non-production programming/scripting (Python, Go, R), a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and presales experience with formal sales methodology training (MEDDIC, Value Selling, Solution Selling).
