Decagon is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its Amsterdam office as a foundational technical hire shaping the future of AI-powered enterprise solutions. The company builds a conversational AI platform enabling brands like Avis Budget Group, Block's Cash App, Square, Chime, and Oura Health to deploy AI agents across voice, chat, email, SMS, and other channels.
In this role, you will operate at the intersection of pre-sales engineering, product strategy, and enterprise architecture. You'll serve as a technical advisor and trusted consultant to enterprise prospects and customers, driving value-based solutioning and integration of Decagon's AI-native platform into complex customer ecosystems.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Account Executives to discover and qualify solutions that deliver strong ROI; architecting generative AI experiences for customer end users; developing custom demonstrations tailored to specific customer needs and value propositions; and communicating complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders ranging from C-level executives to business users and engineering teams.
You'll need 4–6 years of customer-facing experience in a sales engineering (pre-sales) role, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, and a functional understanding of GTM systems and workflows. Experience with AI sales engineering (2+ years) and high-growth startup environments is a plus.
