GitLab is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospects, customers, and partners across Asia. You will guide organizations through digital transformation journeys, helping them understand how GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform addresses both technical requirements and business objectives across the entire software development lifecycle.
In this role, you will lead technical discovery, demos, and validation sessions, demonstrating how GitLab meets customers' needs. You'll own the technical evaluation process as the directly responsible individual, including solution design, proof of concept/proof of value ownership, workshop design, and technical components of tenders and audits. Partnering closely with Account Executives and cross-functional teams, you'll shape account strategies that support new customer acquisition and expansion.
You'll build and deepen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through GitLab-driven transformation and enabling them to become advocates. You'll advise customers on modern software development practices, continuous integration/deployment, security, and cloud strategies, challenging existing approaches to improve ROI. As the voice of the customer, you'll share feedback, use cases, and competitive insights with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to inform roadmap and positioning.
You'll maintain and expand your technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies by creating reusable examples, best-practice guidance, and technical collateral. You'll invest in your growth through ongoing learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to continuously improve the Solutions Architect team's impact.
Required qualifications include experience engaging with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles; proficiency with end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices; hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control and CI/CD platforms; practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts; ability to lead technical evaluations and design workshops; clear technical communication skills adaptable to various audiences; and fluent Mandarin language skills.
