Tanium is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to join its world-class sales organization in the DC Metro area. In this role, you will be the critical bridge between customer business challenges and Tanium's enterprise operations and security platform solutions.
You will work directly with the sales team throughout the entire customer engagement lifecycle—from initial discovery through deal close. Your responsibilities include leading pre-sales discovery meetings, conducting comprehensive platform demonstrations, and delivering Proof of Value (POV) engagements for both new prospects and existing customers. You will translate complex customer technical and operational requirements into compelling Tanium solutions, positioning the platform to C-level executives and technical users alike.
As a technical expert embedded in sales engagements, you will ensure that pre-sales and POV activities align with strategic account objectives. You will partner closely with field engineering teams to maximize technical effectiveness and deliver consistent customer experiences. Your strong verbal, written, and presentation skills will be essential as you address customer needs across diverse stakeholder groups.
Beyond direct sales support, you will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, peers, and partners. You will actively participate in regional marketing events and conferences, contribute to sales and channel enablement initiatives, and serve as a keystone in the broader sales model—collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to continuously improve effectiveness throughout the customer lifecycle.
Expect 40-60% travel to engage with customers and prospects in person. This is a hybrid role based in the DC Metro area.
