Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer for the UK market to solve complex customer data challenges and drive technical wins in the sales cycle. You will work directly with account sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize support during evaluations, and position Snowflake as the solution of choice.
Key responsibilities include presenting Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and technical teams; working hands-on with prospects and customers through demos, proofs of concept, and implementation; creating and developing technical champions within accounts; staying current with Snowflake's evolving roadmap and competitive landscape; collaborating with sales engineers to share learnings; and partnering with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and messaging. You will represent Snowflake at industry and customer events, work with ecosystem and implementation partners on joint architectures, and proactively contribute to account and territory planning.
Required qualifications include solution engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering); outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences; understanding of data architecture, analytics, and cloud technology; hands-on SQL experience; ability to solve customer-specific business problems; and strong customer-facing communication skills.
Preferred experience includes retail or travel industry knowledge, Python proficiency, familiarity with modern data technologies (dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration, git), and exposure to AI, data science, and machine learning.
