Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to drive customer success and close large deals in the retail and consumer goods vertical. You will partner directly with sales teams and channel partners to understand complex customer needs, design winning strategies for sales cycles, deliver compelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise proof-of-concepts, and ultimately close business.
In this role, you'll present Snowflake's data platform and AI capabilities to both C-suite executives and technical teams. You'll work hands-on with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle—from initial demos through proof-of-concept to design and implementation phases. You'll maintain deep expertise in competitive and complementary technologies, positioning Snowflake's advantages in the evolving data and AI landscape. Collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing will help continuously improve Snowflake's offerings and go-to-market strategy.
You must bring 5-7+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in pre-sales. You're an outstanding presenter to both technical and executive audiences, equally comfortable on a whiteboard or delivering polished presentations. You have 5+ years building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in the cloud, with hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and large-scale database/data warehouse technologies (Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric). You can connect customer business problems to Snowflake's solutions and perform deep discovery of customer architecture frameworks.
A computer science, engineering, mathematics degree or equivalent is preferred; advanced degrees in Data Science or MBA are a plus. Experience with global systems integrators (EY, Deloitte, Accenture) is beneficial. You're proactive about the AI landscape, serving as a technical thought partner for customers. You're proficient with AI code generation tools to accelerate productivity. This is a remote role based anywhere in the USA with approximately 25-30% travel.
