Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for Observe, a high-growth SaaS observability platform built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. This role is critical to the sales organization, positioning you as the primary technical resource supporting Account Executives in closing deals.
You will conduct in-depth technical discovery sessions with prospects to understand their observability challenges and environment. You'll design and manage Proof of Concepts (POCs), tailoring demonstrations to showcase how Observe solves specific customer needs. Your technical expertise will guide prospects through the sales cycle, from initial contact through contract closure.
Key responsibilities include delivering compelling technical presentations and product demos, designing and scoping POCs within customer environments, partnering with Account Executives on technical sales strategies, and serving as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams. You'll develop technical sales collateral, maintain demo environments, and provide training to the broader Sales organization. Travel to client sites and industry events is required.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience); 5+ years as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect in software; deep technical knowledge of modern observability concepts (metrics, logging, tracing) and tools like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and ELK Stack; familiarity with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred: experience selling to Developer, DevOps, and SRE personas; background in fast-paced observability or APM companies.
