Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to work with the sales team and channel partners in the financial services sector. You will be responsible for understanding complex customer needs, strategizing on sales cycles, delivering compelling value-based demonstrations, supporting enterprise proof-of-concepts, and closing large deals.
In this role, you will present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers. You'll work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from initial demo through proof of concept to design and implementation. You will maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and how to position Snowflake effectively.
You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's products and go-to-market approach.
Required qualifications include 5-7+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in pre-sales environments. You must have outstanding presenting skills for both technical and executive audiences. You need 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning and generative AI solutions in the cloud, with hands-on expertise in SQL, SQL analytics, and Python. A broad range of experience with large-scale database and data warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies (data lake, data mesh, data fabric) is essential.
You should possess proactive curiosity about the AI landscape and the ability to leverage AI code generation tools to accelerate productivity. Strong discovery and architecture analysis skills are critical—you must connect customer business problems to Snowflake solutions and understand their existing architecture frameworks.
A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields is preferred; a master's in data science or business administration is a plus. Experience with global systems integrators (EY, Deloitte, Accenture) is beneficial but not required. Expect approximately 30% travel.
