Snowflake is seeking a Chicago-based Senior Solution Engineer to drive large enterprise deal closures by combining technical expertise with business acumen. You will work directly with sales teams and channel partners to understand complex customer needs, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and support enterprise Proof of Concepts.
In this role, you will present Snowflake's technology vision—including AI and ML platform capabilities like Cortex AI and Snowpark ML—to both executive and technical audiences. You'll work hands-on with prospects throughout the sales cycle, designing and demonstrating solutions that leverage large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search, and AI functions within Snowflake. You'll maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies across data, AI, and ML ecosystems, and collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to support end-to-end ML pipelines and GenAI applications.
Required qualifications include outstanding presentation skills for diverse audiences, broad experience with databases, data warehouses, ETL, and cloud technologies, and hands-on expertise with SQL and Python. You should have familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow), working knowledge of LLMs and generative AI, and the ability to connect business problems with technical solutions. A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience is required.
Bonus qualifications include experience with Snowflake Cortex AI, Snowpark ML, or Snowflake's Model Registry; building data pipelines with open table formats like Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake; MLOps practices; RAG architectures and agentic workflows; vector databases; and prior technical presales or solutions engineering roles at AI/ML or data platform companies.
