Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to drive complex customer engagements and support large deal closures. You will partner directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, design winning strategies for sales cycles, deliver compelling value-based demonstrations, and support enterprise proof-of-concepts. In this role, you'll present Snowflake's technology and vision to C-suite executives and technical teams at prospects and customers. You'll work hands-on throughout the sales cycle—from initial demos through proof-of-concept to design and implementation—demonstrating how Snowflake solves their most pressing data challenges. You'll maintain deep expertise in the competitive landscape, understanding how Snowflake positions against complementary technologies and vendors. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously refine Snowflake's offerings and go-to-market approach. The role requires fluency in both business and technical contexts, with the ability to pivot seamlessly between executive conversations and technical deep-dives. Required qualifications include 7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in pre-sales. You must have outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, broad expertise in large-scale database, data warehouse, ETL, and cloud technologies (Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric), and hands-on proficiency with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python. You'll need strong discovery skills to understand customer architecture and map it to Snowflake's data architecture solutions. A computer science, engineering, mathematics degree or equivalent is preferred; an advanced degree in Data Science or MBA is a plus. Experience with global systems integrators (EY, Deloitte, Accenture) is beneficial but not required. You should demonstrate proactive curiosity about AI and the ability to leverage AI code generation tools to accelerate your own productivity.
