Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer for the UK market to solve complex customer data challenges and drive technical wins in the sales cycle. In this role, you will partner directly with account sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize evaluation support, and position Snowflake as the optimal solution.
You will present Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and technical teams at prospects and customers. Working hands-on throughout the sales cycle—from initial demo through proof of concept to design and implementation—you'll demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake's platform. A key responsibility is developing technical champions within accounts to drive deals and achieve technical wins.
You'll stay at the cutting edge of Snowflake technology, confidently presenting roadmap features and functionality while maintaining deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies. Collaboration is central: you'll work closely with other sales engineers, product management, engineering, and marketing to continuously improve products and go-to-market strategies. You'll represent Snowflake at industry and customer events, work with ecosystem and implementation partners on joint architectures, and proactively contribute to account and territory planning.
Required experience includes solution engineering or solution architecture in a SaaS environment (or relevant industry experience in analytics, data science, or data engineering). You must have outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, understanding of data architecture and cloud technology, hands-on SQL experience, and the ability to solve customer-specific business problems. Strong customer-facing communication skills—written and verbal—are essential.
Preferred qualifications include FSI (financial services industry) experience, Python proficiency, familiarity with modern data technologies (dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration, git), and experience with AI, data science, and machine learning.
