Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer for the Swiss market to solve complex customer data challenges and drive technical wins in the sales cycle. You will work directly with account sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize support during evaluations, and help customers choose Snowflake as their solution.
In this role, you will present Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and technical teams at prospects and customers. You'll work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate value through demos, proofs of concept, design, and implementation. You'll create and develop technical champions within accounts to drive deals and achieve technical wins, staying at the cutting edge of Snowflake technology and confidently presenting roadmap features.
You'll maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies, positioning Snowflake effectively. Collaboration is key—you'll work closely with other sales engineers, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve products and marketing. You'll represent Snowflake at industry and customer events, work with ecosystem and implementation partners on joint architectures, and proactively contribute to account and territory planning.
Required qualifications include solution engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering). You need outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, understanding of data architecture and cloud technology, hands-on SQL experience, and ability to solve customer-specific business problems. Strong customer-facing communication skills—written and verbal—are essential.
Preferred experience includes Python, modern data technology (dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration, git), and AI/data science/machine learning technologies.
