Salary: USD 289,182 - 318,100 / annual

SoFi is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead one or multiple development teams through the full software development lifecycle. In this role, you will drive innovation and help build the banking platform of the future, working within a next-generation financial services company that uses mobile-first technology to serve millions of members. Key responsibilities include: - Lead and grow development teams, defining hiring strategies and assessing candidates - Create individual growth plans and hold teams accountable for delivery - Shape team culture with emphasis on continuous improvement, learning, and innovation - Challenge the status quo and foster a culture of innovation and disruption - Facilitate project scope definition, deliverables, and goal-setting - Generate ideas for new initiatives and take ownership in a fast-paced environment - Manage teams through ambiguous situations with timely results Required qualifications: - Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline - 5+ years of experience in engineering management or related technical roles - Strong expertise in engineering management and Agile SDLC methodologies - Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and data structures - Experience with mobile application development (Android/Kotlin/Java and iOS/Swift) - Proficiency in web application development using JavaScript and modern frameworks - Expertise in automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and software architecture - Knowledge of design patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture) and performance optimization - Experience designing and developing reusable software libraries and SDKs The role offers hybrid work from SoFi's San Francisco office with part-time telecommuting as an option.
