In this Senior Software Engineer role focused on Social & AI, you will drive MetaMask's expansion into social features and multi-chain user experiences. You'll work across MetaMask Portfolio, Browser Extension, and Mobile platforms to unify and enhance user experiences that support social interactions within the web3 ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to MetaMask's social expansion and multi-chain user experience initiatives
- Unifying, enhancing, and transforming experiences across Portfolio, Browser Extension, and Mobile platforms
- Coordinating with other experience teams to deliver complex, cross-platform projects
- Mentoring junior engineers and elevating the technical bar across your team
You bring 6+ years of experience with web and mobile technologies, with hands-on expertise in React and React Native. You have extensive modern JavaScript/TypeScript experience and understand blockchain fundamentals across multiple architectures. You're skilled at developing large-scale applications with minimal tech debt, strong in web security, CI/CD practices, and cross-platform/browser compatibility. Experience with agile development, API consumption, and distributed team environments is expected.
Bonus qualifications include knowledge of multiple blockchain protocols (EVM and non-EVM), cross-chain bridges, transaction lifecycle, mobile development (React Native, Objective C, Swift), and prior web3 experience. You demonstrate excellent English communication, teamwork, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous learning.
