The Senior Software Engineer, Optimization Systems role is part of the core Spacetime engineering team. You will design and build high-performance optimization and scheduling systems for complex network-resource allocation problems. Key responsibilities include translating complex product and network requirements into effective computational models, improving solution quality, runtime, scalability, and explainability as problem complexity grows, and evolving solver architecture to improve scalability, robustness, and reliability under increasing system complexity and load.
You will work alongside seasoned engineers from top-tier tech companies, managing project priorities, timelines, and deliverables while designing, developing, testing, and maintaining core software systems. The role offers flexibility to contribute to and take ownership of various projects as both you and the company grow.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience), 8+ years designing and developing production software systems, strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, software design, testing, and debugging, experience building algorithmically complex or computationally intensive software, and proficiency in Golang, C/C++, Rust, or Java.
