Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for the Data Insights and Reporting (DIRT) team. In this role, you will design and build reports, dashboards, and integrations that transform vault data and activity into actionable intelligence for enterprise administrators. Your work will surface at-risk credentials, map access controls, protect users from phishing attacks in the browser, and stream security events into SIEM and collaboration platforms.
You will own features across multiple domains: Access Intelligence, event integrations, the browser extension's phishing blocker, Bitwarden's shared Rust core library, and the Bitwarden Splunk app. This is a full-stack position combining deep front-end craft with backend API and data work, all within a zero-knowledge, end-to-end encrypted architecture.
Key responsibilities include collaborating to build and maintain cross-platform features, taking ownership of work quality and testing, designing APIs and data models that scale to enterprise data volumes, reviewing pull requests and mentoring teammates, and engaging with the open-source community on GitHub.
You bring extensive experience with .NET Core and C# for backend services, strong proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS for front-end development, and deep knowledge of relational database design, SQL Server optimization, and RESTful API design. You have demonstrated ability building enterprise features where auditability, permissions, and compliance are critical. You are collaborative, adaptable, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and you are genuinely excited about open-source software and internet security.
Nice-to-haves include Bitwarden user experience, startup background, open-source contributions, Rust experience, Python or SIEM platform expertise (Splunk, Datadog, Elastic), exposure to zero-knowledge systems, browser extension development (Manifest V3, service workers, IndexedDB), and familiarity with generative AI coding tools like Claude Code.
