Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual

You'll join the Core Experiences Team, which builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs powering Speechify's product across platforms. This is a critical role at the intersection of product and infrastructure, requiring strategic thinking and a passion for designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance user experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK
- Optimize existing functionality to ship faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms
- Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
Ideal candidates demonstrate systems thinking (end-to-end design with emphasis on simplicity), speed (quickly generating ideas and deciding what ships now vs. later), focus (managing engagement in a high-growth remote environment), and collaboration (working effectively with designers, marketers, and PMs).
Preferred tech stack: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform), GCP experience a plus.
