As a Senior Software Engineer on the Business Systems Engineering team, you will own the design and implementation of platforms and data pipelines that serve Go-to-Market teams daily. You'll work at the intersection of business operations and engineering, identifying bottlenecks and friction points, then delivering both process improvements and technical solutions. The team is the custodian of critical data used by sales, order, finance, and support teams, with a philosophy emphasizing automation over operation, metrics over anecdotes, and proactive problem-solving.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engineering and maintaining platforms and data pipelines that read, mutate, and write data at scale
- Determining architecture for systems integrating multiple external vendors and internal systems
- Collaborating with GTM teams to advise on engineering solutions to business problems
- Improving operational excellence and reliability of existing systems
- Contributing to long-term roadmap for GTM data quality
- Leveraging LLMs to evaluate data state and create consumable artifacts for users
You bring 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on data systems, in-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing, and advanced proficiency in Python and SQL. You're passionate about observability and reliability. Familiarity with GTM vendors (ZoomInfo, Outreach, Marketo, Clay, Rox) is a bonus. This is a full-time, in-office role requiring five days per week onsite at HQ in San Mateo. Verkada sponsors employment visas.
