Salary: EUR 86,000 - 122,000 / annual

The Recoveries team, part of the Repayments area, builds a robust platform to maximize recovery of charged-off loans while monitoring and minimizing discrepancies with business partner systems. You will collaborate with product managers and backbook risk teams to manage loans through their final lifecycle phase and develop recovery strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and delivering quarterly goals for your team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems
- Supporting peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics
- Participating in ideation, articulating technical constraints, and partnering on decisions that balance risks and trade-offs
- Proactively identifying and solving project, process, technology, and business issues
- Supporting operations and availability of team artifacts through metrics creation, monitoring, and on-call participation
- Fostering a culture of quality and ownership by setting and improving code review and design standards
- Developing talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Expertise designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Experience shipping web apps with declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
- Strong background in designing, implementing, and operating batch processing or asynchronous workloads, including scheduled jobs, backfills, and large-scale data processing
- Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs
- Proficiency making significant changes in large codebases safely
- Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and proactive feedback-seeking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for global team collaboration
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
